The Bellingham Public Works Department wishes to inform the public that the following roads will have traffic limitations during the week November 24-26, 2008, to accommodate construction. Sunset Drive (SR542)Ram Construction, under contract with the City of Bellingham, will continue construction on Sunset Drive from Woburn Street to McLeod Road. Traffic will be disrupted between the hours of 7:00 am and 7:00 pm as large trucks enter and exit the site and flaggers direct traffic to a single lane. Bakerview/IrongateGranite Northwest, Inc., under contract with the City of Bellingham, is installing a traffic signal project at the intersection of E. Bakerview Road and Irongate Road. When work is in progress, drivers should expect delays when traveling through this intersection. Bay/Holly/ProspectTiger Construction, under contract with the City of Bellingham, will be installing sidewalks, pavers, landscaping and art features at the intersection of Bay Street, Holly Street and Prospect Street. Bay Street will be closed to vehicle traffic, however, there will be pedestrian access to all businesses at all times. Prospect Street and two lanes on Holly Street may be closed for up to 2 hours on Tuesday, November 25 for the installation of large a sculpture.
